Dollar collapse will bring jobs home?

Do you think when imports suddenly become way more expensive due to the collapse of our (US) currency and The World’s unwillingness to loan U.S. any more money (finance the National Debt), it will result in invigorating our domestic manufacturing and service industries?

Important jobs like mule-breeder (for agriculture) & farm hands, Iceman (when cap&trade eliminates electricity), train conductor when everyone must use mass transit because nobody can afford gasoline any more, and of course Bread Line Monitor because large crowds require security personnel. And don’t forget prison guards. The prison growth industry has a very bright future.

Good question. The only thing I can foresee as a hindrance to job growth here is the government. What if they don’t want us to progress and rebuild? What if they just want to make us slaves to a third world country and they want to move the Chinese over here to replace us Americans? This is not a thought that has ever occurred to me before but what better way to break our spine than by shipping us off to Ethiopia or Nigeria or several other crap holes? It would certainly put us out of their way for a while. Trying to regroup and organize is hard here but imagine if we were all scattered around the world where others hate Americans. It would also alleviate the over-crowding in China and we do owe them tons of cash. Geesh…hope they don’t think of that! (for those who don’t realize it…I am not being serious)HA! Other than that…I’d say that, yes more jobs would be created here. Hey, maybe that is what Obama had in mind when he said he’d create 4 billion jobs or whatever ridiculous number it was. HAHA
But in all seriousness, the government could prove to be a huge stumbling block if our dollar fails. They are now so I doubt that would change. They could have all kinds of unrealistic expectations and requirements for employers. Who knows? But if our dollar does completely tank it will definitely be ugly for all of us sooner or later.
